Meal Prep: How to maximize your nutrition while eating at home

An important aspect of a healthy lifestyle is cooking and eating at home.  Busy lives can lead you to trips to fast food on the way home from work for your family, but with a little planning you can plan your meals for the week, aggregate your recipe ingredients, and have 5 healthy recipes for  weekly family dinners.  We recommend purchasing ingredients for five recipes a week, leaving one night a week for "out to eat" and one night for leftovers!  be sure to check out our recipe section from the American Heart Association for ideas.   Relax and enjoy your cooking and mealtimes as a family.
