Metabolic Syndrome
The Mayo Clinic describes Metabolic syndrome as " a cluster of conditions that occur together, increasing your risk of heart disease, stroke and type 2 diabetes. These conditions include increased blood pressure, high blood sugar, excess body fat around the waist, and abnormal cholesterol or triglyceride levels."
By using the definition of metabolic syndrome from the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and the National Cholesterol Education Program, the prevalence of metabolic syndrome is estimated at more than 30% in the United States.
If you have been diagnosed with "Metabolic Syndrome" by your physician it's time to take action and take back your health.
